Seitan Limania are located on the northeast side of the peninsula Akrotiri in western Crete, 20 kilometers from the city of Chania. There, strips of sea penetrate between the steep rocky shores of Akrotiri creating small bays. The location is known as Seitan Ports or beach of Stefanos Seitan. The word Seitan is Turkish, which apparently has remained from the period of Turkish rule in Crete, and is translated as diabolical. Therefore, Seitan Limania are translated as Diavololimana.
